Charitable objects
The purpose of the Trust is to provide and maintain a Parish Hall for the use or benefit of the inhabitants of the Parish of St Ippolyts and their environs, without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including use for meetings, lectures and classes and for other forms of recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants. To further this end by the procurement of grants and donations, the organisation of fund raising events and by the derivation of income from the users of the Hall.
Organisational structure
The charitable trust is constituted by a trust deed and is administered in conformity with the provisions of the deed by the Committee of Management who shall be the charity trustees. St Ippolyts Parish Council and St Ippolyts Parochial Church Council appoint one trustee each and members of the parish elect four trustees at the annual general meeting and a further two trustees can be co-opted.
Review of activities and achievements
The Trust has continued to ensure that the hall has been available for the use of local inhabitants. The local Brownies, Guides, Rainbows, Beavers and Cubs have all used the hall for their regular meetings. A Mother and Toddler Group, a Ladies Bridge Club, Children's dance and gymnastics groups, a Ballroom Dancing Class, the Women's Institute, a Thursday Afternoon Cub (over 50's) an Art Class, Table Tennis Club and Dog Training Club have all held regular meetings. The hall has also been used for Children's parties, wedding receptions, birthday parties, post funeral gatherings, concerts, local school functions and Probus and Rotary events.
Reserves
The trustees aim to maintain reserves at a adequate level to allow continued operation of the Parish Hall for at least the next twelve months.
Investment powers, policy and performance
Funds not required, as balance for working purposes will be invested as per the trust deed.
Staffing
A paid part-time caretaker and a cleaner are employed.
Meetings
The Hall Users meet with the Trustees on a regular basis and together they hold an Annual Christmas Fair and Grand Draw.
